Eyelid Surgery abroad

Hi,

Has anyone had upper eyelid surgery abroad?

It`s so expensive to have it done in the UK. I was quoted approx £2300!!

I had my lower eyelid surgery done with Beauty in Prague and i was most impressed by the plastic surgeon – Dr Topinka and staff.

The results were good, I look refreshed and my recovery was quick. Most importantly, I felt safe and had every confidence in the plastic surgeon.

I was quoted €3900 to have it done in Dublin. Rip off!

I had this operation done in November and for the first couple of months (maybe a bit less) I was panicking that i had made a big mistake. Now, three months down the line, I am amazed when i look at my „before“ photos. I can't believe I used to look that tired and old with loose crepey skin on my eyelids and bags under my eyes. I look fabulous now – and feel fabulous. I am SO PLEASED I did it. It looks so natural. Yes, it is scarey at first, but once everything heals your friend will be thrilled!!!

I would say that on average people need a good 3 months to see the benefits of this type of surgery. Surgeons often say that you will be healed within 2 or 3 weeks and maybe to them the results do look good in that time period. But I think for anyone scrutinising themselves every minute in a mirror, they need a few months to be satisfied with the result.

I'm mid-30s but I have heavy, droopy eyelids. I really don't like that surprised look some women seem to have when they get their eyes done. I just want that extra fold gone which seems to rest on my eyelashes.

Hi to anyone thinking of going to beauty in Prague! I have booked to have my eyelids done on the 16/3/09 so if anyone fancies sharing the apartment with me i would be most happy!

I have booked for eyebag surgery top and bottom in Prague, Beauty in Prague. Has anyone else been to the same clinic ? I have sent my deposit and booked my flights , and i am wondering what to expect. Can anyone give me any advice on what to take and is the apartment very cental , x

Hi Jackie, i have been thinking of getting my eyes done for a while now.Would love to share it with someone just need to sort a few things first. did you do an internet consultation, did you opt to wait till 16th or could they do you sooner might be to late for me to book for 16th also did they tell you how long to book in prague. Iam going to get in touch with them now and see what they can do. Now i have decided to go ahead want it done asap. Will let you know if any chance of 16th, if not good luck and let me know how it goes.
