Excessive sweating - Hyperhidrosis

Many of our clients have problems with embarrassing sweat stains. Botox is a very easy, quick and pain free solution.

How is excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis) treated?

Excessive sweating is treated by Botulotoxin – Botox or Dysport, which is applied by a specially trained and certified dermatologist. Botulotoxin A is a natural, purified protein with the ability to temporarily block the secretion of the chemical in the nervous system that is responsible for „turning on“ the body's sweat glands. By blocking, or interrupting, this chemical messenger, botulinum toxin „turns off“ sweating at the area where it has been injected.

Which areas are treated?

  • axillae
  • palms
  • foot soles
  • face, forehead

How is the excessive sweating treatment carried out?

Before this non-invasive treatment the starch-iodine test for visualization hyperhidrosis should be done. During the procedure, a very fine needle is used to inject small amounts of botulinum toxin just under the skin near the sweat glands responsible for excessive perspiration. Multiple injections are given based on your dermatologist's assessment of the area that needs to be treated.

Will I feel any pain during the treatment?

Injections into the palms or soles may be painful. To ease discomfort, physicians may use one or more of a number of anesthetic techniques such as anaesthetic cream or ice.

When can I see the results?

The results of the excessive sweating treatment appear after two to five days.

How long does the effect last?

The effect is temporary and it lasts 7–10 months or longer.

Hyperhidrosis can be performed on its own also combined with any other cosmetic surgery procedure you are considering.
