What does your clinic for clients interested in liposuction offer?

We offer cosmetic surgery procedures of the highest quality together with intensive individual care. We advise our clients to start exercise and change their diet first. Some of our patients have good genetic predispositions and only need a small amount of sports activity to keep their bodies in perfect conditions and shapes. Others might have problems to achieve an ideal body and that is where we step in. The most problematic areas are buttocks, waist, „love handles“, abdomen (tummy) outer and inner parts of thighs and inner part of knees. These areas can be adjusted easily by liposuction.

What types of liposuctions are there?

  • Traditional technique, known for a long time, is the classic mechanical liposuction. Instruments – fatty cannulas simultaneously destroy and drain the fat tissue.
  • Next technique, known as vibrational liposuction is done by special cannule, which vibrates and sucks the fat tissue.
  • The most up to date technique, is known as ultrasonic liposuction. A special cannule applies high frequency waves with gentle suctioning.

Each of these procedures is done after the infiltration of subcutaneous tissue with a special liquid containing adrenalin. Adrenalin stops the bleeding, prevents bruises development and act as local anesthetic.

The tumescent liposuction, named after its anesthetic, is different from the others. The subcutaneus tissue is soaked with large amount of liquid. The liposuction is done by thinner cannulas under local anesthesia.

Could you translate it to the patient's language? Look at this woman. What type of liposuction would you recommend? How long does it take to heal? When can she show beautiful thighs in public?

This woman can undergo all types of liposuctions. However, it also depends on the plastic surgeon, which procedure she/he prefers. We are able to provide all liposuctions mentioned earlier. It depends on the size of the area to be treated. I would recommend vibrational or ultrasonic liposuction for bigger amount of fat tissue. There is a larger retraction of tissue and the skin gets firmer and tighter. The area of buttocks is very problematic and can be sometimes treated by liposuction as well. Hovever it can create a lumpy-bumpy furrowed buttocks. Too much liposuction will leave an unacceptable sagging appearance. Many women ask for a radical liposuction. In my opinion, it does not look good.

How long is the recovery?

There are a lot of bruises and it hurts at the beginning. It is strictly individual, some women get smaller bruises, while others get larger ones. First phase lasts for 2–3 weeks. Clients are supposed to wear elastic garment. Some liposuction surgeons advise to wear it for 2–3 weeks after liposuction. At our clinic we recommend our clients to wear it for 5–6 weeks to achieve the smoothest, most natural, well proportioned result possible and prevent bruising and sweeling.

How long does the effect last? What happens when a woman stops working out?

Liposuction is not recommended for women who come and want to lose weight, because fat cells do not multiply from childhood. Firstly we recommend these women to do exercise. We decrease the number of fat cells by liposuction and therefore women should not gain weight again in this area.

What is the cost for liposuction?

Is the liposuction the treatment for cellulite?

The cellulite can be partially improved by liposuction. Actually we reduce the layer of subcutaneous fat tissue. There can be still some dimpling and puckering of the skin, if the cellulite is well developed before the operation.
