I had my Tummy Tuck on Mon. September 29th. This cosmetic surgery is painful, painful, painful first couple of days, but after that the pain does subside and you start to feel better. My stomach pretty much look exactly as the doctor said it would. I had three children, all fairly big babies, so I had alot of stretchmarks. I didn't have alot of excess skin though. My stretchmarks pretty much surrounded my bellybutton. I hated to look at them. So my doctor was able to remove all of the stretchmarks below my belly button, but the ones on top were stretched to the bottom. right above my pubic hair. Right now, I'm swollen and I went to see my GP just today and he said that I was healing nicely. I have very minimum brusing. And my incision looks good. So for right now I am happy, but I can't not wait till the swelling goes down and I really see what I'm going to look like. :-P

:-)Hi, take it you had it at beauty in Prague…was it a good clinic? I have been to transform and was thinking about going away to have he surgery….cannot believe how cheap they can do it! Any advice would be appreciated. Hope its going well for you now!

Today I am 21 days post op and I am actually wearing a pair of pants with a button and zipper! They are slacks but I have em on! It's day 2 without my binder and my back is a little sore. I'm not moving about like a spring chicken but at least I'm not laying around like a big ole fat hen anymore!

Today is a new day! :-P

How quickly are things arranged, and if I decided to come to Prague would my two daughters (aged 18 and 20) be able to accompany me and stay in the apartments for the duration, inc while I would be in the clinic? How much is the accommodation?

Beauty in Prague | 3.2.2009 14:09:43

Dear Ladies,

Thank you for all your questions about tummy tuck abroad.

Tummy tuck surgery is considered to be a major surgery, so you have to make sure you will receive the right treatment which will help you to feel confident again.

Tummy tuck with Beauty in Prague is not only cheap compared to what you would pay in the UK but the treatment is also 1st class as our Prague plastic surgeons are fully registered and very experienced in the Czech Republic.

Thanks to our 9 plastic surgeons the booking periods are short. Some of our appointments are fully booked, but we are always trying to find a suitable appointment for a patient. Sometimes we are able to offer a suitable appointment within a few days, sometimes in a few weeks.

You can come to Prague for your tummy tuck surgery on your own or to be accompanied by someone.

The price for accommodation in our recovery apartments is:

  • 30 GBP/night/person
  • 45 GBP/night/2 people
  • 65 GBP/night/3–4 people

In the price of tummy tuck surgery there are already 3–4 nights in our cosmetic surgery clinic included.

I would like to encourage you to book your tummy tuck surgery in the following months as it gives you enough time to recover and be ready for bikini season :-)

I recently had a tummy tuck in Prague, and it was the first time I had ever done something just for myself, because I wanted it for me.

I have no regrets at all, and feel better about myself physically than I ever have. My doctor told me he had never seen someone heal so fast, and he said it was because of my positive attitude, which made my day.

I had never experienced the feeling of doing something just for myself, and feeling so good after I had done it!! It does not mean I will become self-centered and only out for myself from now on. No way. But it is something that all of us can, and should, experience in our lives, rather than giving our lives away to others, without ever knowing what we could become if we treated ourselves with a little kindness sometimes.

The tummy tuck made it a reality for me. I hope someone else will take these words to heart, and let their life be better by putting themselves first for once. Thanks for listening. :-)

It has been one year since my tummy tuck procedure and I would do it again in a second (if I needed to!). It was a relatively quick recuperation and the results exceeded my expectations. Clothes look good on me again!

Lindy, IP: 64.49.210.64 | 10.2.2009 13:52:34

I just had a tummy tuck done (3 1/2 weeks ago). I had a permanent separation of my abdominal muscles and lots of loose skin due to my two pregnancies.

I am thrilled that I had it done. Not only are my muscles now properly aligned and will hopefully work better (and prevent the back pain I've been having), but for the first time since my second child was born, I don't look 4 months pregnant. And yes, all the loose skin is gone! The healing process has been more rapid than I expected.

I highly recommend my plastic surgeon, Prof. Ales Nejedly.

I am looking to have a tummy tuck to remove loose skin and gain my confidence back. Or the bit that can't be gained through positive mental attitude anyway. I am commited tohaving the surgery but am scared of the pain level I might have to have after the surgery. Bit worried about traveling back aswell? Can anyone who has had the surgery tell me how they got on (honestly) and what the pain releif after the surgery is like? Thankyou so much for helping me with my research. :-?

:-)Hi, just read through the posts here after trying to find as much info on this Beauty place , can understand the aprehension too lol , am concidering this surgery myself after a hefty quote from a compnay based in my local area . To my dismay even after a 6 moth sebaticle from the origional quotation ( which was specific to me apparently) i got laughed off the phone by the rude receptionist :-x when i asked if more weightloss would change the price. So it prompted me to check out further a field. Just in relation to returning home on a flight , how does that affect you , ??? and translations , transfers to and from airport to hospital etc :-? please fell free to email me with ANY and i do mean ANY details 8-) thanks for being so understanding :-)

hi all – i have just made the decision to have a tummy tuck and possibly breast enlargement. i am worried that once i have one op, i will feel bad about everywhere else and want more work done!!!! Have been searching the internet and looking for somewhere good quality and low in costs – am aprehensive about the op and the recovery time, as i really can't afford a lot of time off work, although i have a partner and 13 year old daughter who can help at home. i am 41, 5'5" and currently weigh 65 kilos (i have recently lost 20 kilos) most of my problem is excess skin over my caesaren scar and stretch marks on the lower abdomin. I was hoping to have the op around march/april. not sure what waiting times are, but have just found out that i don't think i can take any holidays now until the 25th june. i live in spain, and am worried about the recovery in the heat at this time. Has anyone got any thoughts or advise or similar experience. thanks

:-)

I am off for a full tummy tuck and muscle tightening op on the 7th of feb and though i am nervous and worried about the after pain and discomfort i can honestly say i can't wait too have it done.I've gone from 13 1/2 stone too 9 1/2 stone so i've been left with a lot of loose skin and being only 5 ft it make's me feel like i've done the hard work only too be left with a terrible saggy tummy, the time has come for it to go. I cannot say enough about the clinic, how helpful and easily everything has been arranged, i know i will be in very very good hands. I'm really pleased that i can take my lap-top as i'm going for 10 day's my first 7 will be alone (then my hubby is flying out too me) i can keep in touch with my family (son 16 and daughter 14) which is always the best medicine. :-P

Hi there to all…I am in the recovery process of my tummy tuck. I am 1 week post op. I have read so many stories of the surgery, some hurt a lot, some didn't. I have an incredibly high pain tolerance and very positive attitude, but this did not help the pain whatsoever. It is incredibly painful, not so much the incision part or the drains, but the ab muscles underneath. It resmbles a burning twisting feeling that goes incredibly deep. My doc is amazing and no complaints about him. The fees were over 8 thousand dollars but the surgery care center I went to was excellent I have seen my doc on scheduled post op visits 2 times and tomorrow will be my third. The first drain was removed yesterday (amen and i am under the cc amount in a 24 hour period so the other drain will go tomorro..double amen.would I do it again? even in the middle of the terrible pain..yes i would..my tummy is flat and beautfiul despite the bruising and slightmswelling.contact me if u have any questions

olsa, IP: 85.207.210.64 | 1.4.2010 11:43:40

hi i arrived in Prague on the 26th march had the op on the 29th tummy tuck and lipo plus medium lipo on my thighs. the staff are wonderful very efficient the nurses you dont even have to call them as they are with you all the time. everything they say on their website is true no extra cost. care is brilliant doctors amazing. the experience after the op is mostly your muscle they hurt but they have very good painkillers so you dont feel it as much i am already on my feet walking around at slow pace. one thing for sure after having my kids and lots of strech marks i have a flat tummy now and a new belly button. if i decide again for plastic surgery i will definitely choose beauty in Prague.
ps they could work a little bit on their English so get use of this phrase " you go with me now please"
overall very happy with my results and choice of the clinic :-D :-D :-D

I had a tummy tuck 6 weeks ago at Beauty in Prague. It has healed very well and I am so pleased with the results. My tummy is flat now compared to what it was. Yes there is a little pain in the begining, but nothing like I expected, I am so happy I had it done. The care and after care are very good.Infact better than very good, they can't do enough for you. My op went well and the first time I saw my new flat tummy I cried it is amazing. The elastic thing you have to wear for 6–8 weeks is uncomfortable and I didn't sleep very well with it, but it was a small price to pay and its not for ever. If you need any more info please don't hesitate to contact me.

Hi….….…I am thinking about having a tummy tuck but scared of the pain and how long it will take for me to recover. I am 62 years of age and had a big hangup over my stomach for years. Now the kids have left home and I have some spare money to myself I thought I would like to have a go but wonder if I am too old. I would like to know if I could walk outside after say about a week without feeling much pain and more to the point not showing I was in pain/discomfort. Quite honestly the first 2 to 3 days f pain scares the hel out of me.I am slightly overwieght but doing something about it and would get my weight down before having the surgery anyway. I think the Dr would tighten my stomach muscles as I do not have much loose skin. Any comments would be so much appreciated about your personal experiences – I want good and bad comments please so I can form my own opinion. Thanks for taking the time to read this and replying .

Most people who decide to have a tummy tuck do so for cosmetic reasons such as they have an abundance of loose, saggy and stretched skin in their abdominal area that bothers them a great deal. However there are instances where people have a tummy tuck in order to repair abdominal muscles that are weak and are causing the person to have health problems such as constant back pain.

Hi, im 21 and had a baby when i just turned 19…she was 9lb4oz which left me with saggy skin and alot of stretch marks on my tummy. I have lost a bit of my weight but im still finding it hard to loose that last bit around my belly and hips, i am so ashamed of my stomach now with the sagy skin and stretch marks so i am really considering getting a tummy tuck and beauty in prague. should i be worried ?

My husband is treating me to a tummy tuck for my 40th. I have had 2 boys both by c sections so have the hip smile which really bugs me. Looks like Prague is the place to go. Can i please have some feed back as it has taken me years to persuade my hubby to part with his well earned money. :-P

Hello I have just Sent my medical Questionaire and pics to BIP. Wondered if anyone could give me advice on a tummy tuck as I don't understand how they can tell from photos whether or not you need a full tummy tuck or mini one. Also how do they know if you need your muscles tightening or not just from looking at your pics. Sorry for sounding thick but I just wanted to know. What if you paid for a mini tuck and got there and needed a full one? If anyone can clarify I would appreciate it. Thanks x :-)

Swelling can make you look disfigured so I would not worry yet. Give it some time to go down and smooth out.

Kathleen, IP: 84.13.48.49 | 12.5.2011 10:41:20

Hi, I would just like to say that having read all the previous post I am now confident with going ahead the surgery, this is booked for the 8 June 2011 still not sure if it is full or mini TT as Dr Prof. Ales Nejedly who is the surgeon is unsure from the photos sent, This I believe is a good thing as I don’t think you can tell by the images,
I am a digital artist, when family photos are taken I always edit the images of me to make me look better (no saggy skin showing / outlining through my clothes), I am getting married in the September so hopefully I will not have to enhance the images and I will look great.
I will keep you all updated with the procedure, Good luck to all those out there ;-)to have it done. ;-)

Kathleen, IP: 46.13.250.222 | 13.6.2011 10:48:42

Hi all, I am now 5 days post op. The op went really well!
I was greeted at the airport by a lovely lady who had my name on a board, they helped my with my luggage and took me and my (husband to be) to the penthouse apartment 5 minutes away from the clinic. night before the op we went out rather early for a meal as I couldn't eat or drink anything after midnight, the following morning i was to be met by the driver who took me to the clinic, once there i was made to feel very welcome and all the staff are totally amazing at keeping you calm.
I had to fill in a few questionnaires based on my medical history then had all the necessary pre-op examinations, they were very thorough, and very quick, no waiting around giving you time to contemplate and working yourself into a tiz, I then met with my surgeon Prof. Ales Nejedly (Head Surgeon) he was very nice and explained what procedure i was going to have once he saw me, (this was undecided previously from the photos)
I was then taken to do my payment for the operation, then taken into the area where i was given a gown and told to remove all clothing, jewellery, this was in a little room seperate to to the ward, this was to maintain the constant sterile environment that the clinic are very fastidious about, (something you don’t get in England). I was then met again by Prof. Ales Nejedly who then drew lines on my tummy indicating where the operation will take place on my body.
I was then taking into the operation theatre and given my anaesthetic.
When i woke I had discomfort with my eyes, this was due to the anaesthetic, but the staff reassured me, looked after me and comforted me and all was well a few hours later.
I stayed in the clinic for three days due to the extent of the operation which was full tummy tuck (hip to hip) with Liposuction on hips and flanks. the pain from this is very mild, the sensation is tight and you have to walk like a little old lady with an imaginary walking stick.
I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff and surgeon at the clinic and my tummy looks great.
I did have a panic attack on the fourth day as this was the first time that i had a shower and saw the scar, but this was due to the fact I hadn’t really seen it previously as i had been lying down when the dressing were being changed. The staff were amazing at getting me back to the clinic being it was on a Sunday, and performing checks to verify all was actually good! And would like to say Thankyou to all the five staff involved in reassuring me.
But now I am so very happy and can’t wait till all the swelling and bruising has gone down.
I hope that this helps all those out there on the verge on getting it done or even considering it…All I can say is Please don’t worry, everything will be fine, and be very PATIENT and this is what speeds the recovery process.
Just to let you know, prior and after the surgery I took Arnica Montana, this i believe has helped my healing process.
Many thanks for reading and good luck to everyone!
DEKUJI VAM TO ALL STAFF! ;-)

Hi Kathleen,
I am so glad to hear from someone who has just undergone surgery in prague. I have just sent of my medical questionnaire. I am 36 have 3 kids all from c section and so sick of my overhanging belly and stretchmarks. Keep me posted on recovery and would love to see photos.
:-)

Kathleen, IP: 2.96.209.130 | 27.6.2011 10:17:42

Hi Nicola,

Now three wks post op, and recovery is a lot better than i thought it would be, so much better than when i had my Hysterectomy! and C Section.
I am wearing the support garment and will continue for another couple of weeks…it helps to keep everything in place..but must admit it feels like my safety blanket also.

Although the op was extensive Hip to Hip the work carried out by the Head Surgeon Dr Prof. Ales Nejedly, was second to none…He had done a far neater job than the my previous surgeons..at the moment it looks like someone as drawn a thin line across my abdomen with a pen! and below the bikini line. :-D
I am still a little swollen, and have a little fluid under the skin..but going to see my GP to discuss this today.
but all should be good. I will of course keep you posted.

I am so pleased I have had it done and even now feel more confident than I have done in such a long long time. I just cant wait till i can comfortably move around and not have to wear the support garment. I will of course keep you posted and will send photos soon.

Until then good luck and take care

Kathleen

what would be chances of having a tummy tuck and breast implants at the same time time? :-x

Karhleen, IP: 84.13.29.31 | 11.7.2011 09:25:50

Hi all,
Update.. I am now five weeks post op, scar has healed amazingly well, using. ‚Bepanthan‘ for four weeks now this has helped with any irritation as well as helping the heal the scar. The fluid has now gone after some antibiotics from GP, swelling almost gone as well, bruising completely dissipated only a few days to go before going it alone without my safety blanket :-P
It has been a journey of extreme patience and frustration but now the end is in sight and I can then marvel at my new tummy and new tummy button.
I can now bend over and paint my toe nails without winding myself :-P
In over twenty years I have not seen my toes whilst standing straight and looking down, Now I Can! :-P
Hope my journey has inspired you. All I can say is I wish that I had done it sooner!
This will now be my last entry… Should you require any information…don't be afraid to ask.

Take care all and good luck
Kathleen
