You should come to the operation without make-up. Pharmaceuticals containing acetylsalicylic acid (Acylpirin, Aspirin, and Anopyrin etc.) should not be used for 3 weeks before the cheek and chin implants cosmetic surgery, as they decrease clotting time of blood.

Chin implantation is performed under a short general anaesthesia, which takes 1 hour. Plastic surgeon places the incision in your mouth to avoid a visible scar. It also allows the surgeon to place a chin implant directly in front of your chin bone. The implants have a shape of horse-shoe and are made of a prosthetic material. After the plastic surgeon inserts them, they stay intact and do not get absorbed into the body. Plastic surgeon will instruct you about dental hygiene, eating and any restrictions to your activities after surgery.
After Cheek and chin implants- Post-operational Course
After the surgery you will stay for 1 night at the clinic. During the first few days after the operation you are advised to sleep strictly on the back so as to prevent swelling on one side or, as the case may be, larger post-operational bruises. Following chin implant surgery you will be wearing support bandage around your chin for 1 week after the surgery.
The speed of the healing is individual. Swelling after chin implant lasts 1–2 weeks and 2–3 weeks after cheek implants.
Dissolving stitches are used for cheek and chin implantation surgery, which do not require removal. You will be presentable in public within 2 weeks – swelling will be the limiting factor. The final result will be seen in 1–2 months. You can exercise again in 3–4 weeks after the surgery.
How will I feel after the chin and/or cheek implants surgery?
You will probably feel tired, sleepy and suffer from pain especially in 1–3 days after the surgery. You will be given some painkillers and tablets for reducing the swelling. The plastic surgeon will also prescribe antibiotics as a prevention of any potential infection.
You might also feel unhappy after a few days. This is normal and is caused due to the stress, general anaesthetic, lack of patience with the healing problems, more pain than you expected or the fact that because you underwent cheek or chin implants cosmetic surgery abroad you miss your home and family.
Is the recovery after chin and/or cheeks implants painful?
According to our client’s experience they did not suffer from a big pain. However, when you will be leaving the clinic you will be prescribe painkillers by the plastic surgeon. You will probably feel discomfort, swelling, heaviness, and numbness in the areas where surgery was performed.
